One Battle Won, And One To Go!

I am home today because I'm feeling a little under the weather. I always give David a kiss before I leave the hospital and I think I might have picked up a little "bug" myself! Maybe, it was divine intervention that kept me home today as I received a telephone call this morning from Congressman Ruppersburger's office. David's claim with the Criminal Injuries Board was approved yesterday for the maximum amount that they could award. The Congressman's intern said that I would be getting an official letter from them within the week. The compensation will be divided into a monthly amount, until the full amount of the award is exhausted. I have medical bills piling up from Shock Trauma so it will be good to know that I will be able to make some payments soon!!! Of course, it will be awhile before I receive our first check but just to know it's coming is an answered prayer! Now, to hear from Social Security reference his Disability claim...

I'm going to give the house a quick cleaning today, pay some bills, work on some sweepstakes entries and do some work with the postcard business. We have about 8 "new" designs coming out this month and I'm also working on some drafts for upcoming postcard projects.

David was resting when I called his nurse this morning. She said he was being pretty quiet today and was watching his TV...thank God for his TV...I don't know what he would do without it! Till later...
