In The Blink Of An Eye...

Went to the hospital to get a quick visit in with David today before meeting my Red Hat Ladies at 3:30PM. To my surprise David was no longer in his room...can you imagine my almost heart attack to walk to his room only to discover that someone else was in there!!! David has been moved back to Critical Care for a few days.

He spiked a temp again and has another line infection in his "new" Hickman line. That would explain why he was having his "off" day yesterday, he was probably getting sick again! They called in the Infectious Disease docs and they are pumping him full of fluids and massive doses of antibiotics again...needless to say Georgetown will now have to be put on hold for awhile.

I think that they have finally realized that David needs to have a couple of good months in Rehab before they start thinking transplant! Besides, he will never be able to get a transplant unless he can stay infection free and that seems to be a double-edged sword where he is concerned. I just wanted to post a quick note and I'm off to get dressed and meet the girls! Continue as always to keep us in your thoughts and prayers...
