Help...Enough Is Enough!!!
Okay, tonight I
am definitely VENTING!!! I get a call at work today from the Social Worker
that they want to transfer David out again to Rehab because the insurance
company says that he can't stay at Shock Trauma!
Well, I went
ballistic...I'm supposed to have a meeting with his doctors, the Social
Worker and the so called Nurse Case Manager who keeps pushing him out the
door to Rehab. Each and every time he goes out to Rehab he's back at Shock
Trauma within a week and normally sicker than when he leaves!
I refuse to let
David become a pawn in this silly insurance game. I told them that I wanted
it documented that I am not signing any paperwork to transfer him to Rehab!
I may end up not winning this battle but the war ain't over yet!!!
I have put a
call in tonight to
Barry Simms (from
WBAL-TV,11) the original reporter who
reported David's story. I told him that I had something that may be worth
investigating...I would love to get their attention with some media
coverage/interest in what they are doing to David...this is so wrong and
they must be stopped.
Perhaps others
could e-mail WBAL-TV and with enough interest we could get the media
coverage that David deserves!!! I am asking tonight for any insight into
this situation, help or suggestions you may have for how far I should take
this!!!
